Does any experienced corn owners know if this is normal or not? Why are our corns not striking when they eat?

A lot of cornsnakes wont strike when they eat.
It's usually the younger ones that wont, because they simply don't need to go to the effort of contricting and 'killing' prey that cannot harm them.
Quite often it's not until they get onto larger mice that they do it. Even then, some don't do it.

It makes no odds if they do or not, in some ways it's better that they don't as it's easier to remove them if they every decide your hand is prey.

After one of those days were i have just felt knackered, can't be bothered to do anything but then feel annoyed cos theres lots get done. I am very happy to remember that i can get Sydney out for a bit tonight after his 48hr rest to digest his feed! Looking forward to getting the kids to bed then getting the little one out.
