Sid my larger snake has just shed this minute and im buzzing from it, but hes gone round his viv like a mad man and tring to burrow into beech chippings tho, is this normal?? (im tingling all over) im really sad i know

oh dear, that must make me really sad, I watch the viv instead of the telly at shedding time lol :)

I'm still eagerly (and nervously!) anticipating a shed with Claude! Not sad over here though! xD I spend most of my time in an evening peering amusedly at the viv while he does his exploring snakey thing!

When they push down to remove the chin skin? it looks like they are burrowing, pushing stuff all over the place. Totally normal.

he seems to be a totally different snake, we've only had him for a short time, but was normally really quiet and in his hides all the time but now hes all over a very active, the OH says it might be because hes happy to shed and to get rid of his old skin lol

most snakes tend to be very quiet and subdued just before they shed. xxx
