hi guys and girls just like to start by saying hi again and wow i all most needed a clean pair of shorts to day lol i just went to change me snakes water again as its been a hot day and il say she but unknow at mo too small to tell but she was on her branch and as i went to get water bowl she went and struck me didnt get me but holly cow she's only a month old but she can move so fast im guessing i did something wrong ?? (hope this not the start of a stricking snake ?)any advice guys and girls this is the first time she done anything like this and shes normaly so good if out of tank but i wasnt getting her out just changeing water

she may well just have been striking in defense, as a young snake she will see everything as a threat. How close to the branch is the water dish.

hi gmac i must admit its fairly close probaly about 2/3in away from her any advice gmac or just be abit more carefull ?and thanks again and also iv noticed today shes been out in the same spot on top of the branch all day since i draw the curtains this morning !! which was a surprise as she dont normaly come out till after 9/10pm not that iv been complayning i like to see her out and about

being that close I would reckon it being a defensive strike is normal for young snakes. Just keep doing what you are doing and she will settle and see you are not a threat
