Well hello all, my name is Adz, I live in Manchester, my lil 3 year old asked for a snake so guess what we have ended uo with a babe corn, it is only 6 weeks old,

Can I ask it is a bit snappy at the moment, will it calm down, I am handeling it everyday.

Did you give it a week or so before you started handling it? If not, then it may be worth giving it a week on its own to get settled in properly - after that, regular handling (starting at about 15 minutes at a time) should slowly calm it down. Also bear in mind that you should try and ensure that all handling sessions end on a "good" note - i.e. don't put it back in the tank/faun if it has just bitten you, wait until it has calmed down again .

I hope this helps, and i hope to see some pics soon...welcome to the forum btw

Hi there give the hatchling time to settle in... no handling etc for 7 days. The snake is naturally nervous and is acting on instinct. With time and pateince and handling (and correct housing etc) the snake will settle down fine for you xxx

Be a good idea to start the 7days from now with out handling. Only going into its housing to change water and poop clean. To allow it to adjust to its new environment, smells, sounds etc. Then handle for around 10mins a day after that 7day period.

the sigs are
1.0.0 = 1 male of what ever
0.1.0 = 1 female
0.0.1 - unsexed

the feed time isn't a problem leaving it for 12 days corns can go weeks or months without food, just allow it time to settle, it may take a feed, but mine both had a week to settle before i fed them and they were fine

ah, i saw you asked what scoob i drive, didn't have time to reply then lost that post lol
i've got a '99 facelift sportwagon, it's a bit of a workhorse (being tactful! ) but it's my daily driver, i take it down the field to the horses, i've competed it at clubman level rallies at it has Lucas spots, ally sumpguard and a shiney strutbrace - all very functional mods
not been on Scoobynet for a while, i used to post as QuickChick but last time i went on i think i had to re-register and i can't remember who i am now!

is 2002 the bug-eye?
i'd love something with a turbo but tbh i'd be nearing a driving ban by now if i had one lol i've got a heavy right foot
the non-turbos still go pretty well but fortunately don't drink half the juice either! and a non-turbo is better for towing the grass harrow round the field.......still trying to convince myself i don't need one with a turbo lol
