No offence but i do think thats a lil bit judgemental there could be any number of reasons for a move/downsize sometimes life gets in the way and unexpected unfortunate things happen doesnt mmake anyone an irresponsible owner i was made homeless once and had no choice but to give my dog up (hardest thing ive ever done in my life and i vowed never to give up anoother pet as long as i live)doesnt make me a bad person i had no choice we shouldnt make judgements on people without knowing all the facts none of us know what the future holds..just saying ! |

I wasn't aware that there is a right place to post comments like this???
do we have a 'bitchy comment' forum? never seen it
to reiterate previous replies to this unwarranted attack, no-body can make 'long term' plans and be certain of what life has in store. We can only ever make a best guess, and hope things run smoothly. They often don't.
To paraphrase john Lennon- life is what happens while you're making other plans |

it's not an attack on anyone
we all complain about seeing corns constantly up for sale and other reptiles for sale due to owners getting fed up, downsizing on home etc
i could also argue no one knows the future and therefore everyone buys loads of corn snakes spend their life savings etc, after all, the future we could all win the lottery
as i said not a pesonal attack but merely an opinion, example and comment as we all do on other topics |

Maybe so its a matter of opinion but there is no reason to be damn rude and this is no place to start a fight on a selling thread! They could easily have over indulged or had plans that were meant to be long term, seemed rock solid and stable but fell apart, but at the end of the day, it's no-one else's business except for the seller and maybe the buyers. There is no reason for you to be so judgemental without knowing the whole story. You sure wouldn't like it if people made a whole load of assumptions about you would you? |

Respectively ask for this post to be moved by moderators.
Firstly I respect the fact everyone has an opinion, as I made one and therefore not an assumption. And as I said, it is my opinion based on everything I read, and how I read all the time about pets being up for sale as no longer can be kept etc, and others have also moaned at, so I made an opinion. Opinions may not agree with others, and may sound as assumptions or judgements have been made, but my opinion was purely made on the amount of posts and amount of members on this forum and others complain about how people buy and buy and then cant look after them for whatever reason.

I wasn't causing or making hassle, I gave an opinion, albeit it may be in the wrong section but do not know how to quote from one thread into a new thread hence I posted it here
Also I did not imply neither did I say that everyone is in the same boat.
Most would agree and say that they see their pets as part of their family, whether it's a dog, rabbit, hamster, cat or in this case snakes and reptiles.
But you would look to the future regarding having kids, and family etc and wouldnt get rid of children because your downsizing your home.
In comparison my point is, you should look to the future and take it steady and not over indulge. It's an opinion as I said a moment ago based on other threads, and forums I read about members complaing about so many people giving up their pets etc and as I said I do not know how to quote from one thread to a different new thread

Can't say I have seen loads of posts moaning about people giving up their snakes on here. Usually people are very understanding and try to give advice on helping them to keep their pets or offering to take them on.
I agree we all have opinions but how about sometimes it's better to keep them to yourself. This is a classified ad, this is not a discussion thread. If your not interested in the snakes then don't comment.

respectfully ask you to read the guide to posting in the classified ads thread.
CentricMalteser85, also not post your opinion on reasons behind individuals selling snakes, this type of thing in this forum I will not put up with, especially where you do not know the reasons behind the clear out.
Peoples circumstances change nowadays at the drop of a hat and is therefore upto each indiviual what they want to do. I will not put up with generalisation of peoples circumstances.
This is the last word on this subject now leave be and let it be a classified.
Kether if you wish to start a new thread I shall lock this one as there are so many pointless replies seems the whols purpose has been lost.
