Hi all :)
So it won't be long before my lil lady needs her 3footer (am i evil to not go to a 2ft first?)
I know they can get freaked out if given too much room but it should be ok if there's lots of places to hide.
To introduce her gently would it be a good idea to get the 3ft all set up and put her faun (still set up and with lid off) in it so she can explore if she wants or stay in her faun if she wants.
Sorry for babbling

I didn't put the faun in the viv but it might be a good idea as she could have a place to go back to. I don't think you should do a 2ft viv first as you'll probably have to get to get a 3ft viv in a short amount of time. |

like i suggested to some 1 else other week ,you could make a divider or even put a solid box in their so it takes 1ft of the internal space |

I'd go with the temporary divider and see how it goes. Just a side from a stiff cardboard box would do as you are not trying to keep her isolated on one side. If she's happy to use both sides then give her the full range to play in. As long as there are plenty hides it shouldn't be a problem. |

How long is she? Loki was about 2 and a half foot when I moved him from half a 3 foot viv to a full 3 foot viv. He's actually been more confident since moving into a larger enclosure! I hardly ever saw him before, now he comes up to the glass and will come out when the doors opened. |

I was really naughty and put Harry straight in a 3ft when she was a hatchling. She has been absolutely fine. Never missed a feed except when in blue. Always active. She's probably pushing 3ft herself now. So I would say don't worry about the 2ft as said earlier you probably wouldn't need it long.. |

Where is my pitch fork lol.
Spot was in a 2 footer from hatchling and has been fine from day 1, he was moved into a 3X2 a few months back and he is still doing just fine, there has always been plenty to do, lots of substrate to dig in, branches to climb on etc, its not so much the size of the viv but the open space in there, just fill it with lovely things. |
