Ok so Martha shed for the third time yesterday.
The first was a disaster and came off in about 100 pieces! Had to get the rest of her with a flannel and it took ages!
Second time she shed all in one go except for about 1mm at the very end of her tail - tried to get it off but had I tried any harder I think I'd have ended up pulling her tail off!
Her third shed today was fine except for about the last 5cm which stayed on. Got it off easily with a flannel and the bit from last time came off as well.
Have looked closely at her tail and the last 1mm of her tail seems bent/dead/different colour. My question is is this a big problem? It is literally 1mm and she seems perfectly happy and healthy otherwise. Should I do anything or just leave it?

Just leave it, it might dry up and drop off but shouldn't bother her too much. Try your best to get every bit of shed off in future though!

I had the same problem when Falco shed yesterday, his 4th shed with me and first dodgy one! I managed to get the tail tip off after the flannel trick didn't work. I put a little bit of vegetable oil on the tip and left it for 5 minutes, then put his tail through the damp flannel again, this time I managed to get it off
