i have broken the 'non handling' rule with Flick I will admit but only when she looks like the wants to come out. I stick my hand in and she climbs out. I haven't got the heart to say 'Sorry Flick you need to stay in there for a week' |

If she's actively trying to come out and climbing up your arm, I'd say that was a sure sign she was settling nicely and not to feel bad about getting her out!! After all, it was her that made that decision, not like you were picking up her hide and grabbing her!! |

I agree with bunny - Aysha clearly isn't ready to come out yet, opened her viv yesterday to change her water and she froze. She was very lovely in the shop though so I'm sure it won't be long before she's tapping on the glass like Ginn does. |

Frank always looks a bit miffed when I go in his viv. He just sleeps and well sleeps. Get him out and he'll curl up on my lap watching tv. Whereas Fred is always climbing and doing impressions ropes etc |

Last night Aysha was doing a sexy dance at the front of her viv so I opened it up and sure enough out she came, looking for trouble. She's SO much stronger than my corn and king.
Ara comes out..last night I had to convince him that his tube wasn't better than my hands which he eventually agreed to and was pretty damn active for the normal, sleepy snake he can be! |

I loved reading these posts, seriously - you open your viv and your snake climbs up your arm ?! That's SO amazing! Your snake taps the viv glass for you to let her out ? How awesome is that ?!! I hope Linguini and I develop a relationship like that! |

Try and stop them Prim! We have Ginn who constantly begs to come out I swear - but mostly to try and eat us, since she's a kingsnake and is still being 'trained'.
Ara is less active and lives in a faun but still puts in a show and loves coming out to explore clothes and anything else nearby. You'll soon learn to read your snake's mood, our three have such different personalities.
Of course they're still snakes and you always have to be careful but it's easy to become attached to them..even if they don't *really* care about you! |
