i got him out for a little handle whilst the spaniel was off doing somthing else, and the little git decided that he was going to munch on my finger!! would have taken pics but wasn't really much to see.
he's had a lucky escape as he would have been snakie food but my two guys are too small, so if any ones got a hungery snakie.... |

Naughty rodent, just remember it when your snakes are big enough and you run out of mice |

I've had hamsters in the past and rats too...... I'm dreading when my 3 are big enough to be fed 'real' mice/rats. All I'll be able to see is my lost furry friends...... Then again its cool to watch em get destroyed! |

Hamsters are fiesty creatures by nature lol I have one and hes ALWAYS tryin to bite me haha. I have rats, mice, and gerbils too. I use the mice for a breeding pair for my snakes, the gerbils are my moms, and the rats are just cool pets to have. Theyre such clean animals suprisingly lol |

My pet rats never bit anyone..but I've got a scar from a rabbit and hamsters are evil. My mice only bit when we took them to the vets, The Brain destroyed a biro pen which we gave to her to chomp on while the doc had a look.
Rats also make good insect catchers - big blue bottle flew into their cage one day and Cinnamon looked at it once, grabbed it with her front paws like lightning and shoved it in her gob with a delicious crunching sound! |

i'd love to have rats but mum won't let me she recons even pet ones are vermin!! as for my naughty hammy i took him from some one who didn't want him any more. he was under fed when i first got him and in a cage that was too small for him. i've now got the ungratefull bugger in a bigger tank and he's fed well now. you think he'd show some apprectation! |

hamsters are pure evil, they bite for no reason and with no warning. atleast rats have the intelligence tha if they do bite they are gonna get thrown the other side of the room

I've had hamsters before and they rarely bit and made great pets I then rescued one and it was very bite happy, it then gave birth to 5 babies we weren't expecting and then right in front of me ate 3 of them alive and wriggling. The squeals haunt me to this day LOL. |

It really makes me laugh when people talk about being scared of snakes biting them but then keep rodents which are more likely to bite and cause more damage. We had a gerbil when I was younger which used to attack for no reason. I will always remember one time when I was handling him and my mum asked if I wanted to talk to my dad on the phone (he was away with the navy at the time). I passed Mr Wilkes to my mum only for her to start screaming a couple of minutes later. I looked and there was Mr Wilkes hanging from her finger. It was the last time she ever held him lol |
