Hi, posted last week about a noticeable lump around 25cm down Sonny (he's 48cm). It was suggested it could be a poop as he was in blue but as he has shed (which was a perfect shed btw ) I have had him out and about today. He was quite flighty at first again due to not being handled for a solid week but soon came down and I noticed his lump was still there it can't be poop as he also took the opportunity to deposit a cheeky one on my shorts, lol. It feels quite solid, and he doesn't seem phased/aggravated when I do touch it or around it. Anyways here's some pics of the lump itself.

Age:Unknown but guessing a number of months
Weight: 17g
Legnth: 48cm

Hopefully you can see the lump clear enough:

Vent is about an inch or so from the tail aye? It's closer to his head than his tail.

Yeah unfortunately thats a vet trip right there. I think from the first picture you can see a feint line down the middle of the belly, that is a snake's belly button of sorts so its probably something in relation to that. Possibly the wall of the abdomen not properly closed (its open in that area when they are in the egg as they develop and birth defects can have it not close properly) even though the skin has and part of the internal organs are protruding so effictively a hernia as suggested above. I would suggest as this could be the case its best to put off feeding until its checked out.

Can you post a picture from the underside see if that is the area in question?
