...Identifying my 6 year old corn snakes morph.

I've always believed and been told that she is a Carolina but after having someone who keeps and breeds corn snakes look at her he says he thinks she is a cross.

I have picture of everything, even close ups of her scales to show how speckled the colour is.

Full Snake.


Underbelly/Vent.


Head.


And the close up's to show the speckling.




Is she just a lightly coloured Carolina or something else?

She reminds me of an Upper Key's, which is a type of wildtype, so maybe she's got some of that blood in her maybe? :)

upper keys has a natural hypo effect, but I will go with her being a regular hypomelanistic.

The speckling in the colour is normal, and you will see it develop more as the corn gets older. My oldest (9 yr old amel) used to be a nice bright orange but now he's all mucky looking and faded.

She is a little over weight as when I got her she was being fed 2 mice a week so she weighs 900 grams but she hasn't eaten for a good 12 weeks, she still didn't eat even a small mouse yesterday while the male(Butter corn snake) ate a day old chick.

She is a hypo, which is caroline but with less black. But the morph is hypo xx

OK, thank you. Just looking at Ians Vivarium Corn Snake morphs and she looks like either a Hypo(Most Likely) or a Hypo Okeetee(Least Likely)

okeetee is a selectively bred normal. It just means that there are thick black borders around the saddle marks, so I wouldnt say she was okeetee.

The hypo okeetee has practically no black on it like her... That's why I was saying it's least likely but it looks sightly like her.

The saddles are still very defined though in my opinion, where as on yours some of the saddles have no black around them in places (looking at the last two pics)
