Hi all,
I know a lot of people use kitchen towel as a substrate while the hatchlings are young, but at what rough ages would you change to Aspen ?

the main reason for using kitchen roll is that hatchling poop is flipping tiny, also its easier to clean, so whenever poop is easy to see and you feel ready, go for it :)

I think Steve was about 5 weeks when I got him and I put him onto aspen straight away with no issues. As scaly said got to be vigilent with inspecting for poo as it is quite small but I use a small tub and change the whole aspen every 2 weeks.
