Hay guys, i hgave just ordered rubi her new viv, a 36 inch wooden vivexotic one. Just wandering if this would be to big for her as she is only 1.5 ft long (aprox) if so i shall partition a section of. Also i want to make the transtion as stree free as possible...any recomendations on how to do this? for the time being im usuing all the decor that is currently in her faun and will order new decor when i can.
THank you

Hi, mine were just over 2ft when moved to 36'' viv's.
I provided mine with a route from one end to the other of plants and hides, this ran along the back of the viv.
This enabled the snakes to move around without becoming stressed of a new enviroment.
That was a couple of months ago now they spend most of their time looking out the glass.

I would put a divider in as it's a bit too big for her at the moment. Just make sure it's packed out with decor & hides to help her feel more secure. When small they can squeeze through the overlap in the glass, so best to use something to block it, folded cardboard or a paper binder works well

Corno was under 2ft when I moved her up and she was fine - I didn't use a divider just as above, made sure there was a 'covered route' between the hot and cold sides so she would feel safe moving.

Oooh, that's exciting. Can't wait until Apollo is big enough to move out of his faun and into a proper viv. He's just hit 50cm though so a bit of a wait yet.
