Hello All
Just after some advice please.
I have Smiley @2 month old Amel corn (7.5g), currently in a small faunaruim (300mx200mm) inside a wooden thermostat controlled vivarium.
I am going on holiday next week (Cornwall)and didn't want to put Smiley into boarding, so I have spare larger faunarium (450mmx250mm) that I have set up with heat mat, thermostat and thermometers (all up and running - thanks to the previous posts regarding setups etc)
Size of larger Faun possibly a bit large for Smiley at present, but with adequate decorations should be fine.

Problem? I noticed this morning was that he is due to shed (loss of colour and slight blueing of eyes (difficult to see in amels).
Going on holiday on Sunday - hoping shed will be complete for this.

I was going to transfer Smiley into his larger faun today to allow him to get used to it before the holiday, but should I wait until the shed is over? If it is unwise to transfer during shed?, will he be okay being transfered very close to the holiday or even same day as departure.

Any advice please, I dont want to cause any stress to Smiley as this will be his first shed since I have had him.

Thanks

kev 5
