If I didn't have a sensible hubby to keep me straight I would by now have: several different corn morphs, a hoggie or 2, a housie or 2, possibly a blue beauty, another rainbow (Brazilian this time), a milk....
Arrrrgh!! It is so addictive but I'm doing my best to keep it under control as I would love all the snakes - but not so much the cleaning out once they were all full grown
(Still have every intention of a hoggie and a housie in 2 2ft vivs on top of Corno's 4ft viv... said 'jokingly' to hubby that I'd thought that was a good solution and he just rolled his eyes, but did NOT say no, mwahahaha ) |

Where do you guys keep all your snakes,I'm assuming they are in different vivs? I'd quite like to get more than 1 but wouldn't have much room I don't think |

All of my snakes are kept separately, I don't think it is worth the risk to cohab them. I have one corn snake in a 3ft vivarium in my spare bedroom (Apollo), one corn snake in a faun (Aphrodite) in my bedroom, and three corns in RUBs in my bedroom (Aurora, Andromeda and Titan).
I intend to house four of them in the top bedroom when they are in the 3 ft vivariums and I have a little alcove which is the perfect size for a stack. I will then have space for two vivariums (a mini-stack) in my bedroom where all the RUBs and the faun are now. (Yes, that is space for 6, not 5...mwah hah hah hah!). I'm also trying to convince the OH to let me get a Brazilian rainbow boa which I've not decided where I can put the adult viv yet as they are a bit bigger than corn snakes so need more space. It's not like I really *need* a kitchen table is it??
It really is an addiction so beware! haha. |

Yes it is, you just have to make sure that your sensible though. Too many people have got so many snakes in a short space of time and then flog them as they have a billion corns that they aren't intrested in anymore.
You see this scenario so many times. It makes me very sad that so many see this as a hobby or a collection and far less as pets, a 20 year commitment to look after them to the very best of your ability. Luckily most on here are very capable and responsible owners. |
