hi, i have a female corn 3 years,almost 4ft and weighing 370g i was just wondering if anyone might have any suggestions as to why she shed twice in just over a month 6/1/13 and 11/2/13 her previous shed was on 17/10/12 she usually goes about 3-4 months between shedding. thanks lisa

As long as there are no other health issues or mites then it's nothing to worry about. It could possibly just be a bit of extra weight going on. They will shed when they need it. I have an adult MBK that shed 3 times in 2 months last year. 
How are you measuring the length? Are you measuring the shed skin? To me, 370 grams seems a bit light for a 4' Corn. |

cool thanks just wondering lol,i checked my other snakes records and noticed my big male is doing the same thing shed on the 17/1/13 and is just coming out of blue now.(no mites or health issues) Could it have something to do with breeding as i am trying to breed this pair this year??? |

yeah but the skin but could prob get a more accurate measure .... i'll go see what i can do lol
Right exact measurements are about 40 inches and weight is up to 400g i really need to wear my glasses more often lol |

It could be related to breeding. Female snakes shed before they're ready to breed, before they lay and after they lay! That's a lot of shedding. |
