She laid the first clutch on 30.03.13 and then fed 6 times (once a week) until 22.05.13 when she refused. She shed on 21.05.13 and then laid her second clutch of 16 good looking eggs early this morning. Bless her heart. |

Congratz! Just wondering..... Do double clutches increase the chance of infertile eggs? I was thinkin more eggs would mean less nutrients for each one? |

The longer the female holds onto the sperm the less potent they become so the eggs may not be fertile......only time will tell. |

Is it possible to have good looking eggs which are infertile? I know how to tell which ones are slugs which are definitely not viable but can good looking eggs sometimes be infertile too? |
