My friend had found a corn in her house, a little amel, sadly she put it outside really early in the morning arrrrrrg she said if it was later she would have called me, but as it was 6am so she let it go. After telling her she really should have put it in a box/tub, she told her down stair neighbour to look out for it.
Well they found it, turns out it was their neighbours, Charlie had been missing for a month and a half!
I kinda know them a bit, so went round to see if they found out why it had escaped, turns out the wire holes at the back were bit big, so recomemended sticking cardboard there and in the viv overlap till they could get a binder thingy. Annoyed that i forgot to say the aquarium glue would be good for the wire holes but i will go back tomorrow
For all his time away, he is perfectly healthy and so calm
I also gave her the directions to come here

Nice happy ending... and we might get a new member, too :-)

With holes - I found that rolling a bit of kitchen towel, and then sticking it in the hole, so that it's really tight, works well. If you leave a bit sticking out on either side, all the snake can do is push at it, and it only scrunches up, so they can't push it out ( as long as it is very tight ). With aquarium sealant, it needs to be left for more than 24 h to cure, the fumes wouldn't be good for the snake...

Nice to hear a happy ending I used felt which works brilliantly because it compresses down to a nice tight fit.

I was really annoyed that she put it outside, and sooooo pleased he was found again, really thought he was gone, the kids were over the moon to have him back! glad i had acupuncture yesterday with all the wandering about, but sooooo worth it
Their poor cat was getting the blame, they thought he ate it, really pretty kitty

So glad they got him back :) Surely your friend could have found a tub to put it in for an hour or so!
