Well - came home tonight to find that little Omar had finally had his first shed with me. There was a very dishevelled skin hanging out of his 'big' hide. My plans to keep it and show everyone proudly were thwarted as he had a mighty big poop all over it but it was all in one piece which is the main thing. He has since had his first meal of 3 pinkies and is now sleeping the whole thing off!

Out of interest I was told to go up to three pinkies after this shed and then to a fluff after the next one - have other people used this approach or moved straight from two pinkies to a fluff? He took them very quickly anyway. Generally relieved and happy snake mummy!

Hi there, when I moved up sizes I went with 1 pinkie then 2 pinkies, then 1 fuzzy then 2 fuzzy's now on to small mice, but that just the way I did it but if it can take 2 pinkies then it could probably take a fuzzy without much trouble.

Thanks all. I'm working on my 16 yr old son to like snakey itself - shed May be a step too far for him at the moment! Personally I think the whole process is amazing!
