Birch's earliest lay date is this Sunday (so could be easter eggs of a different kind!!) so my incubator is up and running

i've got plenty of room in there so if anyone would like any eggs incubating for whatever reason, and you're within reasonable travelling distance of LS25 postcode (so the eggs don't cool down too much in transit) i'm offering to incubate them for you for free

thanks very much another couple of batches of eggs would make running it more worthwhile!
next year i should have 3 breeding females although with 2 first-timers the clutches are likely to be small.

as promised here's a pic of this year's set-up, this is plan B a downsized version as nobody took me up on my offer
poly box with lots of wires (heatmat, stat probe, thermometer probe)

inside the poly box, plastic tub with the eggs in on a heatmat (on a pulse stat)

under the sphagnum moss, 9 eggs in vermiculite

just 2 months to go.............................................................

the stat probe and the therm probe are the thick and thin wires (respectively) going into the tub underneath the sphag moss, they're only just pushed horizontally into the vermiculite to give a more accurate reading
