I fed my corn, Dante, around 3 months ago, and he regurged. Since then he's been very reluctant to eat (he's eaten one fluff and one pink, the pink was only so that he ate SOMETHING) but he really is reluctant to feed on anything.
He did go in to blue shortly after the regurge, but he never actually shed.
I've tried braining, bleeding (a tip from a friend), teasing, and I've recently resorted to putting him in a small, covered, dark box and leaving him for a bit to see if he'll be tempted, but he's not budging.
His tank is 63cm x 52cm x 33cm. The warm side is usually 29-30c, and the cooler side 22-23c. I use beech woodchip substrate and he has hides on both sides of his tank. I use a heat mat and a bulb to regulate temperature and humidity is usually around 50-60%.

| How old is he? Sounds very odd, 'going into blue but not shedding'. This was 3 months ago? I think I'd have been in contact with a vet about that o.O |

its not unheard of snakes going blue and not sheding. a user from here had a king start to appear dehydrated getting real big folds of skin. a week later it shed an was a thick as leather.
age is the main thing here. if adult age aslong as weight is being maintained its not a biggy.
as for the feeding. have you tried super heating it, leaving it in over night, taking for a drive in a covered box all are known to work.
also try giving him a soak in some powerade solution or critical care or nurtobal all are known to perk up a reptiles feeding habit |

He's around 2 and a half years old, and he's always been a good eater and shedder before now, so his weight is fine. He is starting to develop little folds of skin near the end of his tail, and around his neck area. I done as you suggested and took him for a ride in the car last night and he managed to eat one of the fluffs I'd put in with him, so I'm happy with that.
The main issue now is that he hasn't shed in so long, and I'm worried about him being uncomfortable. Is there anything I can do to help him along a bit? I'm thinking that now he's eaten he might go in to blue again, as he usually does just after he eats. |

If you know he went blue but hasn't shed, wait 48 hrs from his last feed & then give him daily baths for about 20 mins as this will help soften his skin & keep him hydrated then run him through a damp face cloth/towel. I use reptoboost baths if mine need a little extra support.. ie. If not eating well.
You might be bathing for a week+, stuck sheds are stubborn. |

I would be a little worried about him not shedding... My Vietnamese Beauty was in blue and didn't shed, her skin was adhered to her body and apparently the viv's humidity level was too low. So I left her overnight in a RUB with a damp towel, gave her a bath in warm water in the morning (20 min) and let her slither out a towel so as to help her shed her skin.
It partially worked, so I manually removed the old skin that was left (it was quite visible), very gently so as not to hurt her. She's usually quite feisty, but she was very calm as if she felt it was good for her.
I recommend you to try this, as unshed skin can cause health problems due to bad blood circulation. If it doesn't work, you can try a vet.

| Well, even though Dante ate, he didn't shed. Today I took everything out of his viv, fully disinfected everything including boiling all of his hides and non-plastic bits and pieces. After putting him back in he drank like water was going out of fashion after exploring for a few minutes, and he's starting bashing his face against his rubs trying desperately to get on his way to shedding... so here's hoping. |
