My sister has owned her corn for 15 years and recently agreed to take on a resuced corn from her local vet who knew she had one already. She has now very kindly gifted the rescue snake and full viv set up to my 13 year old Autistic son as a way to get him off his computer obsession and something I can enjoy with him as I have no interest in computers and gaming but love snakes. She is the most amazing sister I know.

We have been the proud owners of our 7 year old female anery grey corn, named Sabastion (yes Ryan's choice of spelling and boys name) for a week now and I have spent the last week reading this forum, website and facebook page building up the courage to introduce ourselves.

I just wanted to say I am so proud of Ryan as I just went upstairs to help him feed Sabs to find he has already done it all by himself.

Thank you for all the invaluable advice I have absorbed over the last week as I have hastily learned all I can on corn snake keeping and am loving every minute so far.

Like I said been reading the forum for a week and I was immediately intrigued. I like a good puzzle. Took me a while and worked it out from names in brackets. :D Thanks again for the welcome. I will try to keep the questions to a minimum. Now to work out how to get some pics up to show off my baby. ;)

Hi all, thanks again for all the kind welcomes. We have owned Sabs for 2 weeks tomorrow and already she waits patiently by her door for me to let her out. She has come out happily onto my lap yesterday and today. I went to buy her some more beech chips and mice today with Ryan and we were seriously cooing over the hatchlings

Lol, it's starting already, the addiction... I recommend Ian's vivarium for all the beautifull corn snake morphs that you can have :-)

It's very nice, and quite rare, that Sabs actually wants to come out, and is so tame. Most corns either don't care, or just tolerate handling, and some hate it and never really tame down. My Seb is like that! too! curious and wants to come out.

Hi Razee. She is so awesome. Was very wary of us for the first 10 days and I expected a month or more but suddenly she just 'clicked'. I am aready though not enjoying the 2 days after feed. Need another snake on different feeding schedule.

Hi Sarah. I'm glad you've joined us. You've got an awesome sister. Not only does she obviously love your son and understands what might help him but she's a snake lover and corn owner ! I definitely agree with Herriotfan about how helpful snakes can be. I call it 'snake therapy' .

It sounds like you've taken on a lovely snake, just right for Ryan. I'm glad she's settled in well, is eating ok and is happy to be handled.

Please don't hesitate to ask questions. We all had to start somewhere and sometimes its best to chat through what you've researched so you can fully form your own opinions. It's what we're here for .

Razee's suggestion of looking at Iansvivarium should come with a warning . You'll come away with a wish list of all the different morphs you want!

Xxx
