Posted - 10/02/2012 : 20:34:11 Ok so Martha shed for the third time yesterday. The first was a disaster and came off in about 100 pieces! Had to get the rest of her with a flannel and it took ages! Second time she shed all in one go except for about 1mm at the very end of her tail - tried to get it off but had I tried any harder I think I'd have ended up pulling her tail off! Her third shed today was fine except for about the last 5cm which stayed on. Got it off easily with a flannel and the bit from last time came off as well. Have looked closely at her tail and the last 1mm of her tail seems bent/dead/different colour. My question is is this a big problem? It is literally 1mm and she seems perfectly happy and healthy otherwise. Should I do anything or just leave it? |

Posted - 11/02/2012 : 19:42:27 I had the same problem when Falco shed yesterday, his 4th shed with me and first dodgy one! I managed to get the tail tip off after the flannel trick didn't work. I put a little bit of vegetable oil on the tip and left it for 5 minutes, then put his tail through the damp flannel again, this time I managed to get it off |
