Hello guys.
I'm soon to be the proud owner of a rehomed, tetchy female corn. Being married I'm used to tetchy females so that shouldn't be an issue but any advice would be much appreciated. |

From the Royal site. I've got Sherman.
I've finally talked the OH into us rehoming my friend's female corn. It's costing me bugger all for the corn but 3 months of hard labour (ironing ) to stop the OH from saying no.
If all goes well she will be called Matilda after my daughters's favourite film. |

So you decided to get her then? I don't think you'll regret it. Even a tetchy corn is soft as a brush |

Can't be worse than having to pin a thumping great Shar-pei to the floor and do the snarly Alpha male bit. Hardest bit has been trying to persuade Jo (my wife). Now she IS scary. |

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Got it all arranged now. Should be collecting her Monday evening. 4' viv and everything. Bonus is that she is feeding on small weaners the same as Sherman so I don't need to whizz to the rep store for anything.
So excited!!! Can't wait to get started on calming her down. |

What is her length? To require a 4 foot viv she'd need to be at least 4 feet long, and that's provided the viv is fairly 'busy'.
Which could explain why she's tetchy, if she's only 3 feet long and in a fairly open viv. |

The viv is a spare that the current owner has. She currently lives in a double decker viv.
Not too sure on her length but I'll shorten it (the viv, not the snake ) if need be until I can buy something more suitable after xmas.
As for her tetchiness, that's a long story but we know what caused it and rehoming her with me should sort that out (crossed fingers, lucky rabbit foot, etc).
Once I've got her settled in a bit I'll get some pics and vital stats posted. |

I've already had to up the ante to that to calm her after she thought she was being conned by me. As if I would do such a thing

Finally got her home now. She's beautiful. Glad I watched all those programs with the late great Steve Irwin. Feisty is an understatement! |
