all the babies and 07s are fed weekly and the adults are fed alternately fortnightly on a different day adult females getting 2 ready for the breeding season and males 1 my food bill isnt too bad because i buy so many in bulk and my heating is about 20 a month so not that bad really i must be completely mad but i love them theres just so much variation in colour morphs and patterns

and thanks again for the welcomes i feel at home already

Paul

Hi Jacro, welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately, unless the snake is nearing 5 ft long then i'd recommend a smaller viv.
They like to feel safe and secure. Try to use the length of the snake as a guide.
if it's 3 foot long, then go for a 2ft x 1ft viv.

What length is the snake? (ish)

You're catching up with me and my mantids. I had 400+ of the little psychos. Although that was just after they had hatched and before battle commenced

You didn't mention that you had a couple of Mexican Blacks last night!

Mexi-blacks are great. We've got one called Nagini.

Glad you found us. How did you get home last night? Hope you had a car, because we realised when we set off that you could've been going to the bus stop or train station or anywhere

Thanks for the welcome.
It is only a foot and a half. I am keeping it i one of my old fish tanks and could do without the expense of a smaller one.

I would recommend covering 3 sides of the fish tank to make it feel secure.

How is it ventilated?

Good thinking! The back of the tank is painted blue but I will cover both ends as well. I have perspex under the light housing which I drilled about 100 holes in. I think this provides plenty of ventilation. Am I wrong?
