Hi all, my corn Ruby is shedding for the 2nd time but the 1st with me, any advice on what to expect and any ways i can make it easier for her? How long does it usually last on average? She ate a fuzzy a couple of days ago so still has an appetite as i thought then she was looking a bit dull and was maybe near a shed. But i checked her today as she hasn"t been out for a few days and her eyes are definetely dull and look covered. So any advice gladly recieved. |

her eyes will clear again shortly, then she'll shed within about a week later. unless you're expecting problems i'd just let her get on with it really. some will continue to feed as normal but i use shedding as an excuse to skip or delay a feed like would happen in the wild. also keep handling to a bare minimum as her eye sight will be impaired until she's shed. |

as they can't see very well they can be timid and shy or even aggressive and unpredictable, so best to leave well alone, that's when having more than one snake is good - always something to play with |
