My snake is always trying of get out of it's vivarium, using it's nose to push between the glass doors. I have noticed that the end of his nose is starting to show wear an am worried that it will develop into something worse.
If anyone could offer me some advice on this matter I'd be relly greatful. I want my snake to be happy, but can't have him constantly roaming my room while I'm out and about. |

how long have you had this snake and how old is it? the reason i ask is that a few years ago i got a snake from ad trader from a bloke who sold me a male corn, he was ok for a few weeks then kept trying to escape, turned out she was a female who was gravid and i didn`t provide a laying box for her or sorted out her requirements for her, she ended up egg bound, but since then i have bred with her and had some good clutches, but she still trys to find a way out before she starts to lay |

Snakes are all Horny at the moment, it's mating season and they don't want some silly little thing like a viv door keeing then from going out on the pull! Thats probably why there has been so many escapies recently too! |

That's the article from when Trio escaped. Can't remember if I posted it on here or not, but it's a prime example of what you just said. Unfortunately Trio is unable to do any male snake stuff because of his injuries, but I've tried to tell him that, but he doesn't seem to listen. |

yup yup yup my snakes been like it since february, males are alot worser than females and my snakes needing alot of attention and handling at the moment. he even caused a minor graze on his snout where he is so determined to escape. i think they should all stop by july tho as the breeding season for corns is from late feb to july i think, |

Four of mine are very restless at the moment, the fifth (Corn) just sleeps in his hide all day and night as usual! Trying to escape is a snake thing isn't it? |
