Hi all my names Rory and im fairly new to this reptile business, it all started when my friend was appariently going to spain and dumped three adult corn snakes one black and grey and the other two are red. In March they surprised us by laying a batch of 15 eggs whom have started to hatch this last couple of days so far we have 4 brown to grey ones 3 black and grey ones 1 red albino with one little head peeping at us from his egg but thats not all i have 5 eggs remaining but one of them has gone mouldy!

I have just bought a red bearded dragon who is about 4 months old and called Izzie he is settling in well!

I will soon be mivering you for advise so any comments will be welcome!

Rory

dnot touch the mouldy egg..

it shouldnt affect the other eggs..

get some mycil powder from the chemist but only mycil, dont use any other foot powders.

then gently wipe the mold away if you can, and then sprinkle a small amount of the powder over the bad egg and the eggs immediately around it,

Please do not attempt to pull the bad egg away from the others as you could cause a problem for them in doing so. Nature is very kind in as much as it gives each egg it's own coating of protection against any harmful fungus/bacteria etc, and by pulling the bad egg away from the good, you can damage this coating, and leave the eggs you wish to protect exposed to a lot more harm than the bad egg could ever cause.

The above bit came from Maureen Collinson so should be sound advice.

Welcome to the forum ^^
You can just leave the egg, it won't cause any damage or so says the corn snake expert that is Kathy Love.

hi again thanks for the welcome it ended up that leeaving the mouldy egg in turned out ok and 13 out of 15 eggs have hatched then Jake my girl snake laid another batch of eggs, but im worried about her because she is super skiny, i think she will be al right because she ate 3 pinkies i think i just need to look after her well and feed her up girls need their pampering.

i am going to put picks of my babies on the morph page so if you can help me find out what they are i would be very gratefull.

Rory
