Well if your thinking i finally got a snake your wrong
Got home today and my mum and dad had bought me a 1996 Renault Clio for doing my GCSE's. I saw it and thought OMG i have a car. But thinking logically i said ' why the hell have you bought me a car when i can't drive for another 5 months. Something i really want like a snake would be better' I felt so guilty after that because my mum and dad had bought me a car

Well her is a pic of my new baby I am working on her but she needs 2 front tires and a middle box. Thinking of buying some new alloys as these are corroded and also a K&N induction kit.

Great car matey, nice base car if ya planning on modding it ;)
i have modded a few cars back when i was younger and tbh unless you add
and a new exhaust system etc I wouldn't bother with the K&N. You prolly wont notice much difference apart from your fuel going down faster, thats what happened on a corsa I did.
Wheels are defo ya best bet for a first mod tho, they totally make a car looks the mutts nuts straight away, especially if ya go 4 17"s, but i think ya might need the arches rolled on a cleo Just remember all mods might effect ya insurance...if ya tell them ;)

anyway its a great first car matey

PS you need to buy a cleo t-shirt now lol

congrats on the new car

being an old fuddy-duddy i would bother modding it as your insurance will be sky high!!!
a K&N will look nice but is a bit of a waste without the exhaust system upgrade as Mick said, although i did used to run the mk2 escort rally car with a huge K&N.
alloys might look the mutts nuts BUT will bend every time you kerb it and they're damn expensive to repair so i'd keep the steels...........

all this is working on the principle that it's your first car............... you're gonna break it to a certain extent!!

it has alloys on it and a boy racer exhaust. But the alloys are covered in crap. I got them on the car and areok there ASA licensed by BBS. I got the centre all nice and sparkling clean just the rim.
I got £175 per month as a quote on it. My mum paying £100 a year haha

Use WD40 before the autosol it will get most of thepoopoff and use a stiff nylon brush. Then washdown with soapy water.

My first cars was a Morris Marina rust bucket in metalic leyland rust quicker green. It was a bag of sh*te but it was dry inside and cheaper than getting the bus and also a mobile love nest!!!!! hahhahahaha...........I moded it by running it into a length of armco on the A1...good times....moved on to a mini GT after that.........Enjoy it, it will change your life big time......plus you could pimp it and have a viv in their!!!lol

great wee car, i started off with a fiest and now ive ot an 04 clio. amazing cars once u get over the fact its french and all the renault rattles but the interior of renaults are second to none, my clio is the comfiest car ive driven
and i have driven a few so well done on the new motor, treat it well
and in the alloy side i have put black ripspeed alloys on mine (cheap i know) and they look amazing and a friend of mine has a red clio(mines black) and he just got his alloys cleaned up (u need to file down any kerp scuffs) and sprayed black looks pretty good, also if u put new alloys on i would suggest spraying your drums either red or black, they will need cleaned well but if you are confident in adjusting your handbrake u can take them off, clean, paint, refit and adjust. but its deffo worth the work if your brake drums are corroded, and red window tints wold be prett sweet aswell.

and ye i agree with mich unless ur gonna properly mod it performance wise there is no need to add an nduction kit as you wont notice much diffrence, other than sound but if its got a loud exhaust already u wont hear much diffrence, and i have to disagree with gp sadly as alloys are much stronger sorry gp but you have to be carefull with the pavement, as soon as your new alloys hit the kerb it ribs the protective coating off and they will oxidise in a month or so after leavin ugly old white stuff, although if u do kerb them the trick is to get some clear nail warnish and coat any sratches very lightly, or you could try getting a can of laquer but this is likely to drip if its not done properly, anyway just clean and cover and scuffs asap or your new alloys will end up looking like the ones that are on it now
