Evra does that! We always have to check on her about an hour after being fed to make sure she's not just pretended to eat this week.
As for moving up, she was on large mice when we got her so the size hasn't changed. We just have to alter the quantity sometimes. If she's not eating, she's not eating. When we can get her to eat and she seems enthusiastic about it, we often offer her more that week to compensate for the food she's missed when being funny.
Royals are very weird, but you'll get used to them. Feed them when they'll take it, if they don't eat for a few weeks, put it down to Royal anorexia and just try again the week after |

mine strikes, constricts, then trys to eat it but then struggles to find the head and leaves it.
after another wiggle she strikes again and bingo takes it by the head.
feeding her 1 small mouse every 5 days. cant really say about the weight gain aint had her long enough, heard once they have chicks they wont eat anything else so im staying clear of them i think. |

Yep, I've heard the same about chicks. Thanks for that info Daz, I'd be very interested if you ever did put her on the scales.
