When I brought Nimbus home I asked one of the shop staff what he was being fed on at that time. I knew a few weeks before they had been feeding him fuzzies but said he was striking at them a few days later so they had given him another one so he was on 2 fuzzies a week but not the same day.
Anyway they then told me a week before I collected him that he had been moved up to 1 rat pup a week.
The day I collected him the lady said he was on fuzzies. I asked if she was sure and she said yes so I bought some fuzzies.
As you may know after a couple of feeds I didn't really think 1 fuzzy seemed enough. He had never ever struck at me (so wonder why he was striking at them!!) but I noticed the fuzzy wasn't leaving any sort of bump on him. I have since been feeding him on double fuzzies to use them up.
Went into the shop to buy rat pups for him and the other lady confirmed he had been on rat pups before he left them!! Grrr. I was a bit peed off and told her I had been feeding him 1 fuzzy at first! No wonder the the poor boy has been hungry!
I now have some nice plump rat pups for him.
I should have know the girl didn't have a bloody clue. I took my mum to the shop to see Nimbus a few days before I brought him home and my mum asked the young girl where the corn snake originates from. The girl told my mum they lived in corn fields in the wild.....in the UK!!!
Anyway, sorry to rant but just shows that some shops really shouldn't sell pets they don't know much about and why they should keep feeding records!

sounds like the shop is abit useless at record keeping to me, only hting i would say is ud be better off feeding relivent size mice as rats are fatty and not best for corns, even fully grown corns are usually feed mice |

Be careful, I have heard lots on here about rat pups making them fat. I'm sticking to mice right up to the bigest ones, maybe throw in a rat if he's been off food for a while, put some weight back on. |

lol great minds think alike!
I know the different views on rats but I am happy to put him on them for a short while and will keep a close eye on his growth and weight.
We will see how it goes. |

Most people will advise you to stick with mice! They go up reall gradually in size so you'll always have one to suit. They're just better all round for corns |
