I'm just in the progress of sorting out a new setup for a Mexican Black King Snake and I've accidentally happened accross an advertisement for a Brazilian Rainbow Boa. NOW I WANT ONE! I've noticed a sister forum for them but I'm having to resist looking and getting sucked in too much. They are really going to have to start treating snake addiction on the NHS.

Love both those types of snakes.
A BRB was one of the first snakes I actually wanted, but not managed to find one close enough for the right price.
Congrats on the Mexi :D

There was one in my local reptile shop for £120.
I was quite tempted even though the price seemed high, and he looks really evil lol.

£120 with setup I hope, at my local shop a MBK with vivarium setup is £180, its not a full setup though missing stats and digi thermometers etc so just deciding whether to get some new ones or run off the same stat as my corn snake as their requirements are the same. I don't mind if its a kittycat (I see now why you said kitty) or a bad ass, if its a demon snake it will keep me on my toes.

Nope £120 for just the snake.
He is a big one though not a hatchling, I'd guess 4foot.

Lotobob what stat is it you will be using, as the temps for a mexi black go from 27-33 so if you are using the same stat the temps are going to be at the lower end of the scale at around 29. In this case I would suggest a pulse is the best option for this.

I paid nearly £200 for my BRB including courier to Scotland and didn't regret a single penny. He is stunning to look at, lovely to handle, eats fantastically, is super easy to look after and (oddly) is very very cute. If you want a BRB then go for it!

I'm still looking into the requirements for the MBK so still not fully upto speed on them. Its why I'm holding off getting one, don't think its right to get it until I'm 100% on their needs. Heating wise I am more than likely going to get a separate stat, I'm lucky I suppose to be in a fortunate situation of money isn't a problem, getting it right is my main concern and whatever that costs is just fine.

A small theme is developing. PMSL.

I'm sure you can't wait, they look so strange when they move fast like driving past a big fence you get that flashing illusion.
