Medusa hasn't been handled for about 3 weeks as I accidently dislodged a metal plate in my thumb and have been splinted...(long story) and I haven't been able to take it off ;(
I just went to pick her up and she swung her head round and then decided :| Only a tiny mark!
I'm going into hospital later this month/next month to have a knuckle dislocated (another long story) but I will be in plaster for 6-8 weeks so I'm worried she'll forget my scent and bite me again ;( Can anyone suggest what I can do to get her used to me
Thankyou

Get your socks off and in her viv/faun! Seriously a lot of peeps beleive that if you leave your scent in with the snakey then they will be used to it. Or, even tho you are in plaster you can still put your hand in her house just to remind her you are there?

Quite agree with Lucy. The old sock trick and of course you can still put your hands in even if it is in plaster. I'm also wondering why you can't use the other hand that isn't plastered.

Aha eww! I'll do the clean sock move. I usually have to hold Medusa with two hands as she never stays still
Thanks for the advice

Aww poor you but I'm going to make up my own version of the long story purely for my own amusement, its actually quite short, you punched Justin Bieber in the head.
I haven't tried the sock method myself but its logic is flawless, also maybe try holding your hand near to Medusa'vage and let her curiosity get the better of her and get her to come to you.

I've had little success with the sock trick actually.

My corns haven't been handled since October as theyv'e been hibernating, so I wouldn't worry. I've had both of them out infrequently and they still tolerate me, you couldv'e just startled her.
