I am shortly about to move snakey into a wooden viv and was wondering what size watt mat should be used on a 3x2x2 viv or does it not matter providing it covers a third of the base? Also has anyone got any photos of the inside of the bare viv less decoration so I can see how all the wires and cables go
cheers

A heat mat that covers half or a third of a tank. So a heat mat that is around 1 x 2ft at a guess. Like this i think...

So I would be fine to use my 100 watt thermostat and a heat mat of the correct size for the viv aslong as it is no more than 100 watts, if it is more than 100 watt mat then the stat would have to be of a greater size.

I believe that's the theory. But i think the wattage you need would only be 24W so you'll be fine.

i think you'll struggle to find a heatmat that's >100W so your current stat will be fine
