I'm been stupid i'm sure but I've read on a thread somewhere on here that I can buy some moss from a garden center prep it and store it to use when my guys are about to shed. Can someone please help me.

1) What sort of moss do I need?
2) How do I prep it (Sure it was something about boiling water and a oven)?
3) If I buy a dry block of moss (Sold at local reptile shop) can I make some up and store it in the same way?
4) How do I bring it back to 'life' following freezing before giving it to Mo and Tabetha?

Sorry it so many questions, I have tried to find said thread but no luck so having to ask

The pictures have been removed, but should still be helpful.

The moss I see most often is sphagnum moss. I did a google shopping results search for it and found some interesting links, not all reptile related either. Seems it's common to use in gardening for lining hanging baskets.

Hope that helps.
