It depends what wood it used. I know when I had rabbits we used to get shavings from my Grandads factory and it could have been any wood. If your in the shop see if it says what wood it is, Cedar and Pine are no good.

not sure if it would be ok, i take it your looking for something prettier than newspaper etc. Have you looked at substrates online? Depends how much your local rep shops charge whether it would be cheaper with mail order. Surrey pet supplies are one of the cheapest places I've found for all sorts of bits.

I got a massive bag of aspen on ebay for about £9. Think it was a 26.6 litre bag. :o)

Im pretty sure it doesnt matter. All aspen is pretty much the same. Some people use astro turf, newspaper, kitchen roll...just depends :) My corn loves to hide under the aspen so i fill it quite a bit on the cool end. Here is the stuff i use

I wouldn't use any bedding that says it's made for rabbits etc, as they all contain pine because of the ability pine has to mask other animal smells once it gets damp.
