Last weekend I might have accidentally-on-purpose increased my snake collection to 2 by the addition of the most adorable 4 month old black blood corn snake. We saw him in the reptile shop when we went in to get Jake's mice and 24 hours later he was installed in a tub next to Jake's viv.
Pics to follow when he is a little less stressed out but I was wondering if someone could tell me what a black blood actually is? It's not a morph that I can find much about and he looks nothing like the blood morphs that I've seen pictures of - more like a dusky grey. |

What is Black blood corn in terms of real morphs? Very fancy way to label a snake lol. Congrats on the addition though |

Black blood is probably referring to a Granite (Diffused Anery), but it's very misleading for the shop to call it that, considering bloodRED is a bit of a give-away, and is just a selectively bred diffused. It's impossible for a black snake to be.. well.. Red. |

One of the rep shop suppliers has bred some snakes that have both anery and charcoal in their heritage, so the babies could be pewters, granites or anery pewters. They don't know what they aare so they sell them as black bloods. |

In my reptile shop, they had a few yearlings labelled as black somethings but they all just looked like anerys to me. But other than that congrats on the new addition! |
