My little corn snake sierra has had a nice clean shed today and I've measured the skin at 16" / 41cm I was wondering if she is a good size or if she's bigger/smaller than average. She was hatched in October 2011.
Also considering upgrading her rub. I do have a 2ft viv for her to go in when she gets bigger but I think she would benefit from something such as the exo terra faunarium?
gott remember sheds can be anything up to 10% bigger than the snake. i think shes a big girl for her age :) nuffin to worry bowt tho, i've got my snakes who's bowt 60cms in a faun and he seems fine :) wont bee too long before he wants a 3footer tho

Like Scaly says, shes a big girl! Try measuring her with a ruler and then work her actual length from there. my 17" corns is in the large exo terra but don't be fooled, they will soon grow out of it! When she is an adult put her in a 3-4ft then she will never out grow it and you will never have to buy a new home for her. If you prefer you could just wait until sierra is about 2flt and then just put her in big vivarium so then that will be her home for life. Oh and glad about her nice clean shed.
