I left a mouse out to defrost for Voldemort but had to go out for a couple of hours, so it was out for 5 hrs rather than 3 hrs. I went to sort out the feed and noticed the mouse had a bum full of poo (it gets worse)that I didn't want to leave like that. So while trying to remove the poo with feeding tongs I must have disturbed something and it started leaking blood from it's mouth I picked it up with the tongs and it was all floppy like something with no bones in it. Never seen one like that before, so straight in the bin it went and Voldemort will have dinner tomorrow instead! Glad I had eaten before that, can't get it out of my head |

Poop bums is gross, sure, but blood from the mouth and nose is quite normal! They get banged about quite a bit, both before freezing and transit and all, and when you defrost, it all starts going liquid again and leaking out xD
I generally don't worry unless it smells awful or looks completely off colour!
But very big agree on poop bums, I always clean them when I get them, the snakes don't care but I couldn't bare for them to eat it :x |

Weak stomache eh? Glad I dont have that problem lol and I dont use tongs. If I do in fact feed something that was frozen, I hold it by its tail and wave in front of my snakes face. But as far as that goes, 99.9% time i feed live haha. But that mouse doesnt sound like it was completely formed. Was it a pinky??? |

No it wasn't a pinky but a large mouse, so pretty minging The one I fed tonight was much better, so think it must have been off. I won't be defrosting any squashed looking mice again in future |
