Hi, I have two 13 month old corn snakes that have lived together in their viv since they were hatchlings. The viv contains four hides although they choose to spend most of the time in one together. Am i likely to see this happy relationship change in the future.
Thanks in advance for any replies. |

Please post your question once only. Cross posting just leads to confusion. |

Maybe, maybe not. Read the cohab thread and decide for yourself. Personally I wouldn't house any snakes under the minium breeding size together incase they are the opposite sex and becomes egg bound. A second set-up is far less than trips to the vet |

A very special super, duper thanks for K :3 |

That's a brave question for only 4 posts in lol (I'm only kidding, you find lots of shops will sell you 2 snakes and one setup, its not unusual). It is the general opinion that snakes are solitary animals and really should be kept apart unless you put them together for the brief period of breeding season for nookie time as it would be in the wild. The cohabitation thread is your best bet to read and then you can make your own educated decision as to whether to separate them or keep them together. |

Also, what u see as a happy relationship may not be. They tend to lay together because it is the best hide with the best temp, not because they enjoy each others company.
I would advise that they be kept seperate, there are a lot more cons than pros when it comes to co habbing. Of course, they are your snakes so it is your decision, good luck with them x |
