Hi, I have 2 hatchlings who are 3wks n 3days old...
before I bought them on 17.7.12.. they were fed twice prior to me getting them, was told that they both shed.
Anyway,I fed them on 21.7.12, they one struck at it, the other just, well you know, took it lol, they both pooped within a couple of days.
Today is the 25.7.12, and I'm wondering how long others would leave it till they would feed them, as they are due in a couple of days, if I give them the pinkies every 5 days, my reason for asking is that the one who seemed a bit shy, was exploring his/her RUB last night, the first time I've seen him out, and I wondered if they were both hungry again and looking for prey. I just don't want to overfeed or underfeed them. And would some also decide its was feeding time again after them having a poo ? Also as I said, they had a shed before coming to me, when would they be due a shed again, I know about them turning blue, but wondered how often they would do it while quite young.
The viv, as I'm sure some will ask, is all normal and correct, even the temps in this weather lol and I'm keeping notes of everything they do, they are my first snakes and I love them to bits already |

5 day feeds is fine for hatchies.
Hatchies tent to shed monthly as then once they get to yearlings the gap starts to increase slowly. Adults generally shed every few months then.
what viv are they in?????ideally they should be in hatching rubs/fauns. |

Thankyou :) it's just that I read something on one of the posts on the fb page last night that made me question the feeding, They are in RUBS, I mentioned it a the beginning of the post, but I do use the general term viv, but do mean they are in RUBS, sorry for the confusion lol, I will post RUBS in all posts in future ;D
They are in a size which is good for them, they love it, I can tell, lots of hidey places too, I will post some pics up when I can get a monitor for my main comp, as I'm too poor to have a smartphone lol
