I was considering posting a thread today entitled "When will I see her again?" cos it had been days since I saw her in blue. But I'd been checking her RUB every now and then, and we just got home this evening and there was a skin!!!

It felt like nothing I'd ever felt before. A bit like those everlasting bubbles once they've popped. It was so delicate. The tail of went inside her new hollow log I bought her last weekend, and low and behold when I checked under her hide she wasn't there, but was curled up in the log itself! It has nice abrasive sides so I guess she used it to help her.

Shed looks complete. The tail tip seems really good so I think that all came off okay. I couldn't see any eye caps clearly on the skin, but she poked her head part way out of one of the log branches (so cute!) and her eyes look clear. Once I can handle her I'll be able to check her over.

I'm so proud of her! Her first ever shed with me and it looks like it was a complete success :) Pictures as soon as I can take them, but it's 1am at the moment and I need to get to bed!

Congrats! Glad it went okay for you both.

I find the best way to check the skin for eye caps is by feel not by sight. They're very transparent and I find them hard to see, it is easier to run a finger over the shed skin and feel for if they are there

Aha, that's why I couldn't see the eyecaps on her shed. Her head part had come off separately inside her hide. Now I just need to wait for her to emerge from that blasted log she loves so much!
