Hey Y'all.
Kira shed 1 and a half weeks ago, and was then moved into new accommodation, and hasn't eaten since. I've offered mealies, waxworms, crickets and morio worms. Nothing tempted her enough to eat! She has shown a little interest but then just changes her mind :/
Her set up is as follows; 2.5ft tank, heated with statted mat at 29-32* Several hides, and a moist one with sphagnum in. Lino is used as substrate. Fresh water is down all the time. As is the calcium dish and a dish with 11 mealies in. (I don't like 10!) Usually once a week the food is dusted with Komodo premium powder.
Kira is about 7-8inches (no idea on age) and weighs about 55-60g.
Could the move be the reason? If so how long will it take for her to settle again? |

Are you using a digital thermometer to check the temps on top of the lino? I'm assuming that you have the mat underneath the lino. |

Yep. She's still being herself, just refusing to eat. |

Could she be about to lay eggs. Both of our leos have been laying for the last few months even though they do not live with a male. They were bred before we got them but I have been told that it is possible for leos to lay eggs without ever being with a male. If you pop her in a clear container and look underneath at her belly you will be able to see if she is carrying eggs. Both of ours stop feeding prior to laying. |

I've looked but can't see anything, as far as I'm aware she has been alone all her life. Ive heard about the egg laying too, I'll just keep an eye on her :) |
