This is the 24" http://www.bluelizardreptiles.co.uk/housing/vivariums/5060127652297

That I've got for peaches, there is a small plug on left hand side at the back that I'm assuming comes out so I can insert my probes for mat stat? Will the thermometer come with a plug fitted to the wire so it will cover the hole, I'm worried that as peaches is small she will escape?

Thanks

Holly

I've never had one escape from these just don't cut the hole too big and squeeze the probe through. If you really worried use a hot glue gun to cover any gaps.

The monkfield is really secure, and I don't see how a hatchling could get out of it Don't remove the rubber plug. The probe for the mat stat will squeeze through it, just push it through, the rubber will stretch enough to fit the probe. I used sealant to stick the rubber plug back in the wooden hole just to be extra safe

I was very paranoid about the plug, too. I could just imagine crafty Little T. praising it loose and getting out. So, when I got all the wires through and the plug was in place, I glued two wooden lolly sticks with plastic netting underneath across the outside of the hole. So even if he managed to pop the pug out, he'd have been stopped by the netting. He never managed to pop it out, anyway, so didn't need to worry.
