Nice addition looks like a coastal or possibly a jag sib (which is a coastal as well) I would get her into a bigger viv as soon as possible as they do like to climb and top opening vivs are not great with carpets as they can get a bit defensive with you coming at them from above.

I had to wait 8 years to get my first snake which was Ariel my corn! So I had alot of time to read up on different species of snake!
Can't wait for her to shed! See her colours properly! Also the week long wait will be even worse as I'm having keyhole surgery on my knee so I'll be sat about the house waiting haha!

I know! It's like a Christmas present waiting for it to unwrap itself!
There will be a fair few pics once she's shed! Just think she's going to be a nippy bugger!

My vote goes to being a Coastal with the blue black and sandy creamy yellow bars. You can expect her to reach an average 7+ feet. My Vambo is male and currently 6 feet. Great natured once they settle in but expect a nip or two along the way. Be careful at feeding time, the response is a bit more dramatic and faster than a Corn.

I'd pop in a big enough water dish that she can fit in (if she wants) to help with shedding. Mine will sit soaking for a week pre-shed and blue. I'd also say leave her in peace until she has shed. She's bound to be a bit stressed between being in blue and moving into a new home with different scents. Aspen, beech chips or orchid bark are all fine as substrate. I have chips in the viv and aspen in a cat litter tray and both get equal coiled up time when not draped over the branches.

Thank you! I can't wait to see her after shed! I know read as young they can by nippy but I'm willing to take the bites! Hopefully after shed she'll feed ok as they can be quite finicky eaters? Is this true? And is aspen ok as I got told that they need orchid bark that holds moisture! She's got a medium water bowl and also a moist hide with moss so she should be ok

I've just recently coaxed Vambo onto large mice to get him started after going on a diet since christmas. He was on 100+ gram small rats and took them regularly .. then just stopped. Possibly it is seasonal but during the year he'd go into hunting mode as soon as he smelled grub. BTW, it is better to feed outside the viv in a spare tub as they tend to get a bit athletic with their constricts. The saliva can make the prey a bit sticky and can pick up a lot of substrate.

Aspen, beech or orchid bark can all be used. A big enough water dish will maintain a decent humidity.

PS, meant to say to keep the photo sizes down to about 800 pixels wide. The ones you have posted could fill up a double monitor. Makes for side scrolling to read the posts.

Thanks for your advice and help! Care sheets can only give you so much it's better to get off owners!
I've got 2 separate containers one for my corn and one for the python for feeding!
Ah I'm doing it all from my iPhone so didn't know that can I change it on photo bucket when I upload them?
