Earlier this year, Saphira had an oviduct prolapse (read more here: http://thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=28417&whichpage=1). Today marked a big day for her as after more than 7 months, her last stitch finally came off with a shed!

This is what her stitches looked like shortly after surgery:

As it was healing up, the stitches were still in so old shed got stuck on them. I was advised to leave the shed on:

And what it looks like today:

Saphira also had an issue with a few scales shortly after the surgery. We speculated then that it might be due to the antibiotics shots she had been given. Here's what it looked like first:

Those scales came off after a while leaving a scaleless patch. The scales are now slowly growing back:

And that leaves me with a happy girl who is doing very well :)

I'm so glad you've posted this Eline . You, and Saphira, went through such a tough time and it's great to see that she has now made an almost full recovery, in no small part down to your tender loving care I'm sure .

You say that it leaves you with a happy girl who's doing well, I'd say it also leave a VERY happy and relieved owner!

Xxx

You have no idea xD I had so many sleepless nights over this, and so much worry. I'm incredibly happy that she's doing so well. Thanks for the kind words everyone!

That's looking pretty good, just shows their amazing ability to heal. Saphira looks well too. I remember you were saying something about her having to be on " the pill " now?
