As most of you will know, Sakana and Cereus are in brumation right now. However, for the past week(exactly) Sakana has been deep in blue. She went pale last Monday(11th November) and her eyes went very deeply clouded. I expected her to have at least cleared up ready to shed by now but she hasn't... She still looks the same and I'm starting to become a worried snake mother.
Is it just because she's cooled down that she's taking longer or should I warm her up for her to shed? They've not eaten since 2nd October and they went into brumation on the 1st November and now she's decided to go into shed literally just as we moved house... |

| Luna has been taking a long time to clear up too for her last two sheds, I gave her a few warm baths. She eventually cleared up and shed in one piece. It's probably the time of year, a bath probably couldn't hurt though. |

I'm trying not to disturb her too much though as I don't want to wake her up and then cool her again and end up confusing her :/ |

| Hmm, thats a fair point. I'm not brumating mine (or not intentionally anyway, Diego just seems to be doing his own thing). Assuming she has a moist hide? I'd just leave her to it, she knows what's best. |

I'd be tempted just to leave her to it. As she's colder, everything in her body will be taking longer, I'd imagine. If you had it too damp, with the cold temperature, you could risk RI, I suppose.
But that's just my guess - maybe wait for someone more experienced, who perhaps brumates snakes regularly, and knows about shedding, whilst dormant... |

| She's got a hide with moist moss in that she is avoiding like the plague.... She wants to spend all her time under her cork wood hide and not move at all which is sort of understandable but also annoying because I know she needs the moisture to shed properly... |

And now she's decided to become a tree snake of some form WHILST in blue  Bless her, poor girl must be getting fed up now.... First activity that I've seen apart from drinking occasionally since I put her in brumation.

I know nothing about brumation but have her temps remained as low as they should to keep her that way? Only reason I ask is that in trying to research an answer it said that females do a post-brumation shed, so I'm wondering if this is what it is.
Totally unconnected to brumation, Kellog once did a 'double blue'. His eyes clouded over and then a few days later cleared up. Waited for him to shed only to find that he had gone blue again. Took about 2 weeks for him to shed in the end. No idea why.
I'd be inclined to leave her be, let nature take its course. IF she has a bad shed then you have to intervene, of course, but hopefully that won't be necessary.

Yep, her temps have been constantly at 18c(they drop to 15c if not less at night) and if anything they have dropped from 18c as we have moved house(last Saturday) so she was without any form of heat for about 2 hours to get her from one house to the next. |

She's shed this morning with me watching  The head of the shed is a little bit mixed up but both eye caps are there and all scales are there... Just upside down XD The shed was whole apart from a small piece on her belly which came off with the shed and then split away from the shed when she curled back on herself. Tail tip is there too.
So happy she's OK!!! |

| This is the issue I'm having I think? I got my corn as a hatchling in February 2013 so younger than your snake. He feeds all the time an sheds once a month. He's missed Decembers shed. But last week was looking dull like he was gona shed. Now he's back to his usual colour except his eyes are blue/dull. He's also hiding behind the plant pot over the heat mat and has refused to eat for the first time.? |
