So, I should really post some pictures of my crew... and where better to start than with the Princess. I had always wanted a snake- literally since I was about 7 years old- but it's never been 'the right time' to take on a long-lived pet. Then I turned 30 and thought 'f--- it' and began looking. I spotted Opal on a Preloved advert, and it was pretty much love at first sight. Her old owners were downsizing their collection so they could move house, and it was very clear that they adored her too- I came away with a bag of her favourite stuff, and a very small pink worm in a pillow case:

Since then, she has pretty much taken over the house and has me and even my snake-hating housemate at her beck and call. She has also grown up a lot- she was about 2feet long when she arrived, and recently measured in at 4ft 6inches!

Temperament-wise, she is an angel. Very calm, very sweet, and also incredibly cheeky. Mainly because she knows she can get away with it, I'm sure....

She's also very relaxed around cameras, despite being an albino. I was afraid that the flash would upset her, but she's never had a problem with it. This is good, because she's incredibly photogenic.

That's a very strategically positioned cloaca in the last but one picture...if that had been Rambo, it could have ended very badly for you

Very nice pictures, Princess is clearly enjoying all the attention as her due
