Lucius is a 2 month old corn and I was wondering if this viv would be big enough or too big or just right for him. I keep hearing diff stuff from loal reptile shops so I thought I'd put the question out here :)

This is the viv I'm eyeing atm - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/REPTILE-VIVARIUM-36-BEACH-WOOD-FINISH-BRAND-NEW_W0QQitemZ290337794327QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Pet_Supplies_Reptiles_Spiders_Insects?hash=item43997b2917&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262

It is a bit big for a 2 month old corn but if you can get it at a good price its worth getting it for later.

What sort of size would be ok for a 2 month corn? Maybe one down at 24" x 18" x 18"?

I kept Tynan in a faun 16" * 10" until he was 8 months then moved him into a 36*18*18. What is your corn kept in now?

A two month old would be better off in one of these.frodo Lived in the small faun until he was six or seven months old then I moved him up to the next size which should last him a good five or six months.
No need to buy a small viv yet. The fauns are very cheap just under a tenner each!!

Hope that helps

Brads

As Brad says, little corns prefer being in a small enclosed space. If you have the room for it, and you like it, perhaps get it for when he is older and bolder.

You can move him into a 3ft viv at around 8 months as long as you pack it out with plenty of hides and plants

Ok so I was in my local reptile shop today and saw a small (30 x 30 x 30) exo terra setup for sale - I asked the shop if it would be ok for a small corn (told her Lu's age and approx size) and she told me he would be fine in there. His fanvarium atm is the same length but the terra is slightly deeper and higher - I'm really tempted since it would look better athestically in my flat - but it's not worth it if its gonna put Lu off - so guys what u think? All thoughts and opinions welcome :)

as a general guide.......
length of viv + depth of viv = maximum length of snake it can comfortably house

so a 12" by 8" faun would be ok for a corn up to 20" long
or a 3' by 1' viv for a 4' long corn

cornsnakes, ratsnakes, bullsnakes, boas and day geckos
