Hi
I have a 4mth old corn called George, i have recently moved him up from 3pinkies every 5 days to a fuzzy and pinky every 6-7days which he has taken to no problem.

Once fed he settles and sleeps but 48hrs after feeding he is extremely active, trawling around his RUB as if hunting for food again, he always seems to be out and about, am always happy to see him but just want to make sure he getting enough sleep/rest.

Is this just a case of an active snake or does he need 2 fuzzies, don't want to move up to quickly and create a porky George.

He is currently still in shoe box sized RUB, could he be bored and need more space? Have a new viv coming but don't want to move him up too soon and upset him.

Look forward to your advice
thanks

Roughly how long and thick is he?
My snakes do this now, some just enjoy stalking. Maybe either try 2 small fuzzies every 6-7, or keep on the 5 day with a fuzz and a pink.

Usually the day after feeding my Sid is everywhere, but i don't see the other 2 at all for nearly 3.
Snakes are bizarre, and often do weird/wonderful things. Isn't that why we love them so?

He's about 2ft long and about half inch at his thickest, head width also about half inch.

he currently on kitchen paper which he seems to enjoy screwing up, think i'll move him into bigger house, give him more things to do.

am happy that he's so outgoing and we get to see him loads, rather than him hiding all the time.

hi there, when i first got my corn snake, he was already 6months old and just under 2 foot long and already on fuzzies. now hes over 2 years old and 3.5 feet long. my snake was very active aswell when he was your ones size and age. he would constantly be slithering up the glass of the viv, and sometimes woke me up in the middle of the night. he even escaped twice and luckily i found him under my bed each of those 2 times. as corn snakes can get through the tightest gaps when they are small. i even had to put a guard around the heat bulb to stop him from everu having a chance to burn himself. now he isnt as active he will stick his head out from under his hide every now and then when i come into a room and sometimes when im changing the water in his bowl he comes out and sluthers right on to my hand as if "he wants attention, wants to be handled". hes most active right after he sheds aswell.
